Very nice spider behavior. I've been watching them quite a while now and as
the weather varies I see consequences in spider populations. When there is
scant rain, everyone suffers, but when it is nice and damp with frequent
rain, hunting is very good, indeed. When ample rain means large and plump
flowers, it's a feast for all, for the pollinators are out and about. In
drought they sip dew in the morning and then hunker down until the next real
rain.
Perhaps spiders enjoy salt with their meals and just know when it needs
salt. I know I do.
