Thinking about commemorative coins. For collectors. Very like the Post Office
issuing first class stamps honoring various people & events, we should be doing
much the same with our 25-cent pieces. The "state" series was was a great
beginning - nearly everyone saved a roll or two of them. But now that that
series is completed, it is time for some new collectible coins. As many already
minted coins carry bas-relief images of capital buildings, I suggest we continue
the architectural theme, and honor our country's great agricultural plantation
history, beginning with worker housing.

Or, we could celebrate great border wars between states, like the war
between Michigan and Ohio over Toledo. Michigan won and Ohio had to take
Toledo.

The other day at the conservative convention a racist stood up and
suggested, before a forum about racism, that blacks should be grateful for
the food and housing they were provided with during their enslavement. Was
he talking about them being paid in slave quarters? I prefer paper money.
It's lighter, in fact an mood.
